Five More DC Heroes Who Would Be Perfect For Arrow

Green Lantern
Sigh … well, a boy can dream, right?
This is the least likely of any of these characters to actually show up on TV simply because the existence of a Green Lantern ring kind is kind of like introducing a laser gun to a water gun battle. If Hal Jordan is around, why does Oliver Queen even need to get his bow out to deal with the likes of most criminals?
Still, the friendship between Queen and Jordan has been an enduring one throughout decades of DC comics, and it would be interesting to explore it on the small screen. Hal’s cocky self-assurance would be a tailor-made contrast to Ollie’s brooding, one that would essentially write scenes of dialogue all by itself. Jordan could easily swoop in and make a play for Felicity or any of the women in Ollie’s life, forcing him to make some decisions about where his heart and his priorities truly lie.
If you don’t want to deal with the ring at all, that’s fine too. Simply introduce Hal Jordan, test pilot, and use him that way for a while. Have him stumble upon the ring at the end of the season and send him off to movies or his own show. If DC wants to move on from the lukewarm response to the Ryan Reynolds film version of GL, might as well get started.
