Check Out The Canada-Themed Death Of Wolverine Variants

There’s little question that Captain America is the most quintessentially American Marvel super hero. But even though Guardian and/or Vindicator have long rocked the maple leaf from the Canadian flag, a strong argument can be made that it’s actually Wolverine who is most often identified with Canada.

That being the case, Marvel has come up with a great if somewhat morbid way to celebrate Logan’s nationality: with special Canadian-themed variant covers for every issue of Death of Wolverine. Yes sir, with these babies on display, you’ll leave no doubt whose greatest contribution to super hero culture is dying. Sorry about that Canada!

Ah well, at least the Steve McNiven covers look great. McNiven and writer Charles Soule team to tell the Death of Wolverine in four weekly, oversized issues, with the first one hitting comic shops and digital on September 3. Ask for the variant covers by name, and accept no non-Canadian substitutes!
