SDCC 2014: Marvel Studios Announces Hall H Panel, But Few Details
By Nick Tylwalk
It’s going to be a pretty uneventful Saturday evening in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on July 26 if it’s just Marvel Studios President and producer Kevin Fiege up on stage from 5:30 to 6:30 pm Pacific. No disrespect to Mr. Fiege, but fans are going to be expecting some sneak peeks of … something.

Okay, sure, Marvel’s announcement today promised that Fiege would have some special guests, one of whom we already know is Michael Douglas — who will play Hank Pym in Ant-Man — because he’s already said he’ll be there. There’s also the little matter of Avengers: Age of Ultron coming out next May, and it would be a big shock if there wasn’t at least a glimpse of that movie. If I was a betting man (and I am!), I’d put money on appearances by some or all of director Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo. Maybe James Spader shows up to do some of his sure-to-be-spooky Ultron voice.
This is all just speculation, though, as Marvel seems content to just tease us for the time being. Though we’d be ever so grateful if you checked out our Comic-Con coverage next week here on Bam Smack Pow, we’d be remiss if we didn’t point out that there’s going to be a live blog of the Hall H panel, with whoever ends up accompanying Fiege, on Marvel.com.
