Oliver And Felicity Shippers Rejoice: Arrow 3 Premiere Will Have Him Ask Her On A Date
By Nick Tylwalk
Since Arrow goes down the possible romance road with just about every pairing of regular male and female characters, it was probably only a matter of time before we got around to seeing Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak become a potential item. And according to the show’s producer, Greg Berlanti, we’re not even going to have to wait that long.

As Berlanti told TVLine, Ollie will investigate the spark that’s always been lurking in the background between him and Felicity in the Season 3 premiere — as in, he’ll actually ask her out on a date.
"They’re real characters to us, and they had that conversation on the beach, and they had that conversation in the house to help capture Slade. So the question you have to ask is: Does Oliver have real, genuine emotions for her? And how aware is he of that? And how aware does he make her of that? That is an active part of the season this year."
Of course nothing is ever as simple as that between a man and a woman in Arrow. We’ve long touted it as the home of interlapping love triangles, and since we know Felicity is still carrying a torch for a certain Barry Allen and Ollie has switched love interests more often than he switches trick arrows, you can just imagine the fun the writers are going to have with this.
You have until October 8 to prepare yourself for “Olicity,” as that’s when Arrow returns for Season 3 on The CW.
