Marvel Studios Reserves Five Release Dates
By Steve Lam
In a Marvel Studios announcement, release dates for five unknown films have been reserved through 2019. These are in addition to the already known dates of:
- May 1, 2015 — Avengers: Age of Ultron
- July 17, 2015 — Ant-Man
- May 6, 2016 — Captain America 3
- July 8, 2016 — Unknown (Most likely Doctor Strange)
- May 5, 2017 — Unknown
The newly added dates are:
- July 28, 2017
- November 3, 2017
- July 6, 2018
- November 2, 2018
- May 3, 2019
It’s anybody’s guess as to what those five films will be. Some speculate that one of the dates is for a Black Panther solo film. Or they could be any of these candidates: a sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy, a Black Widow solo film, Avengers 3, or (I’m going to go out on a limb here, and it’s still a possibility) Iron Man 4.
Titles for the films will most likely be released during Marvel Studios’ Comic-Con International panel on Saturday, July 26 at 5:30 PM PDT, where Marvel Studios President and Producer Kevin Feige will be presenting.
