Chicago Comic Con Has Wizard World Debuts Of Big Bang Theory Stars
By Nick Tylwalk
Fans of The Big Bang Theory know that the show’s main characters have something in common with all of us (well, something in common with most people reading this site anyway): they’re big comic fans. At this point, even Penny could probably give the biggest fanboy a run for his money in comic book trivia simply by osmosis from hanging around the rest of the gang.

I’m not as sure if the men who play Howard Wolowitz and Raj Koothrapali are also big fans of the inspirations behind all of Sheldon’s super hero shirts, but if you’re going to Chicago Comic Con next month, you can ask themselves. Actors Simon Helberg (Howard) and Kunal Nayyar (Raj) have both been added to the guest list for the show, which will be the Wizard World debut for both of them. Helberg and Nayyar will appear on Saturday, August 23, and have both individual and group autograph and photo op packages for sale.
Another Chicago Comic Con duo that should interest comic book fans is Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie, who starred as Bucky Barnes and the Falcon, respectively, in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Other notable celebrities scheduled to attend include William Shatner, Patrick Stewart and Dr. Who alums Matt Smith and Karen Gillan — who’s about to appear as Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy too.
Wizard World Chicago Comic Con will take place from August 21 through August 24 at the Douglas E. Stephens Convention Center, and full ticket and appearance information is available at www.wizardworld.com.
