The new Captain America will be front and center in one team of Avengers, and while Thor’s hammer is changing hands, his long-lost sister is getting her own series.

More from Conventions And Shows

During the Avengers NOW! Panel at Comic-Con International on Friday, Marvel took the wraps off two new series that will both be starting up in the fall. The first was Captain America and the Mighty Avengers, which as you can see from the cover, puts Sam Wilson in a very prominent position:

It should be fun for people to guess every member of the roster from the semi-detailed silhouettes flying (or web-swinging, in one instance) behind the new Cap. Captain America and the Mighty Avengers #1 will hit in November, from the current Mighty Avengers team of writer Al Ewing and artist Luke Ross.

Joining it in November is Angela: Asgard’s Assassin #1. Writing duties on the new book will be handled by Kieron Gillen and Marguerite Bennett, with art from Phil Jiminez and Stephanie Harris. Angela’s role in the Marvel Universe is being set up by Jason Aaron, and her series was described as having a “very unique vibe.”

Interestingly, when asked if having her own book meant she was off the list of candidates for the new, female Thor (whose identity even Odin will not be privy to), the panelists suggested that wasn’t necessarily the case, as characters sometimes have more than one book.

Other series that are considered part of the Avengers NOW! initiative include Thor, Superior Iron Man, All-New Captain America, Deathlok and Bucky Barnes: The Winter Soldier.
