There are perfect casting choices for super heroes, and then there’s hiring Terry Crews to play Luke Cage. The actor looks like hos I picture Luke, sounds like him … he’d be perfect.

Even better, he’s down to take on the role in the upcoming Netflix series if Marvel wants to offer it to him. As he told Digital Spy:
"I’m waiting for a call from Marvel. I mean, I haven’t heard anything, but if I could and it worked into the schedule …"
That last part could be tricky, as Crews currently stars in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Still, Luke Cage would only be 13 episodes, and along with a couple more for the Defenders mini-series that’s supposed to tie Marvel’s four solo Netflix shows together, that could possibly be the extent of Crews’ involvement.
Until people started clamoring for him to be in future Avengers movies, that is. Come on Marvel — someone pick up the phone and make this happen!
