Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Zoe Saldana Can’t Do ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Due To Pregnancy, Gets Husband To Stand In

We’ve already seen director James Gunn and most of the main cast of Guardians of the Galaxy accept the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, but one person who was quiet so far was Gamora herself, Zoe Saldana.

As was heavily rumored but never publicly acknowledged, Saldana has a very legitimate reason for not taking the ice bath: she’s pregnant. And while she still doesn’t come right out and say that in her ice bucket challenge video, it’s pretty obvious when you watch how she explains why she needs a substitute. Her trooper of a husband fills in for her:

Running out of Guardians of the Galaxy co-stars to nominate, Saldana’s list of four people to challenge includes James Cameron (who directed Saldana in Avatar) and Salma Hayek.

Say, does anyone know if Bradley Cooper has taken the challenge yet? Or maybe the people behind the Rocket Raccoon effects can get the character to take the ice bath instead, as I imagine Rocket’s reaction to being doused would be worth the price of admission — and possibly need to be bleeped out.
