By Nick Tylwalk
It’s almost time to get the band back together for Season 2 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but there are some new faces in the mix this time around.

Marvel made that clear when it released the first photo of the whole cast earlier today, showing all of the team members from the first season : Phil Coulson, Skye, Fitz, Simmons, May and the traitorous Ward, as well as Agent Triplett. He hadn’t been talked about much during the break between seasons, so I was wondering if he would return.
Also in the photo are Lance Hunter (played by Nick Blood), a Brit originally described as a mercenary but now perhaps a member of his country’s answer to S.H.I.E.L.D., and Alphonso “Mac” Mackenzie (played by Henry Simmons), a mechanic that aids the team.
Is there a significance to the directions all the characters are looking? Maybe. I’ll leave you to decipher what all those various glances might mean. In any case, it’s good to see the gang all in once place, as we are less than two weeks away from the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 premiere, which takes place September 23 at 9 pm on ABC.
