Check Out the ‘Gotham’ Red Carpet Premiere
By Skip Harvey
Last night was the big red carpet premiere of FOX’s Batman-less prequel Gotham, and they really pulled out the stops. New York’s Public Library (strange, I know) hosted the event, recreating Fish Mooney’s bar and even serving Gotham-themed cocktails.
Ford provided GCPD cars , Gotham City police served as security for the event, playing the scene to a T. Check out some of the images from the event.
The premiere was very much more like a Comic-Con stunt than a typical TV screening, much to FOX’s credit. They at least are starting to understand who their audience is. Showrunner Bruno Heller was asked about the elaborate staging.
"This is very scary, but not as scary as Comic-Con."
That speaks volumes. The TV premiere of Gotham is less than a week away, so stay tuned to Caped Crusades for recaps, reviews, and reactions to every episode!
