First Look: Life After Logan In Death Of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy #1

Well, it’s not like Marvel didn’t give us plenty of warning that it was killing off Wolverine. Now it’s time to think about what the world will be like without him.

Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy #1 starts down that road courtesy of writer Charles Soule (also, by the way, the man actually writing the last Wolverine story right now) and artist Oliver Nome. The first in a seven-issue limited series, it follows the solo adventures of characters with close connections to Wolverine, including X-23, Sabretooth, Daken (wait, isn’t he dead too?), Lady Deathstrike and Mystique.
“Think of the death of Wolverine as an inciting event, one thing that has seismic-level effects on the lives of a great deal of the Marvel Universe,” Soule said in an interview with Marvel.com. “We’ll start in Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy by examining those effects on people close to Wolverine, but over time, we’ll range far and wide to see what sort of black hole Logan’s death actually leaves.”
And with the final issue of Death of Wolverine pushed back to October 15, the exploration of what comes next is going to start on the same day. Look for Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy #1 at stores and on digital in just a few weeks, but first, take a first look at some preview pages and the Canada and Skottie Young variant covers.
