9. Lego Marvel Super Heroes

You could kind of feel that the Lego Batman games were leading up to something great. It just took a switch of super hero universe and an expansion of scale to get to it.

From the moment you see the intro with Lego versions of Galactus and the Silver Surfer, you just know you’re in for a treat. Lego Marvel Super Heroes had to be one of those games with a story that was both thrilling and daunting to write, because there’s a lot of pieces (no pun intended) here. There’s no denying the developers did a great job weaving you through the plot, allowing you to take control of all kinds of familiar faces along the way.

The general sameness of gameplay does take over if you’ve played a lot of previous Lego games, but it’s still fun to go back through to earn all the characters and chase down every secret. This game has a great story, lots of replay value and just the right amount of humor, and it’s playable by all but the very youngest gamers. What’s not to like?
