Caped Crusades Reviews Gotham Premiere
Wow! It’s finally here, the premiere of Gotham, we finally got to see it, and I can’t wait to see more! I was fairly pleased with the show, although it didn’t have me bouncing in my seat the way I do with most things I have anticipated so highly. I am hoping that the show will pick up a little more speed as the season goes on. I was able to live tweet my viewing of the premiere, and you can check out what I had to say by going to our twitter account.

For the most part I really enjoyed watching Gotham although I am still confused about Poison Ivy’s name being Ivy Pepper instead of Pamela Isley, but hopefully they will explain why they chose to do this at some point during the series. I have heard that She will end up in the foster care system and may be changing her name to Pamela Isley, but I don’t know if that is just a rumor. Jada Pinkett Smith’s character Fish Mooney is shaping up nicely, I’m hoping she is going to be another popular villain like Harley Quinn, created for one show and so well loved she becomes cannon in the comics as well. She could even be a Gotham Siren with the other Gotham villainesses. I like what little I saw of Selina in this first episode, it hints at the possibility of a long drawn out development for her relationship with Bruce, she was in that alley when his parents died, and we see her pay show up to the funeral, likely to pay her respects, and then it looks like she can’t get Bruce or his parents’ deaths out of her head as she is watching him from afar at Wayne manor. If the show gets to do the full run the creators are planning, she may know that he is Batman from the very beginning, having watched him grow into the Bat as he grows up.
Gotham will be airing it’s second episode Monday September 29th and I will once again be live tweeting it so make sure you check us out on Twitter!
