First Look: The Perfect Cyborg Weapon Returns In Deathlok #1
By Nick Tylwalk
Thanks to his appearances on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Deathlok is a character with some name recognition in the non-comics-buying general public. Heck, even my wife knows who he is now.

Now, Marvel is ready to hit us with an all-new version of the cyborg weapon in Deathlok #1. Henry Hayes is the latest man to take on the name, a veteran who traveled into war zones to take care of the wounded. He thinks he’s left that life behind him, but the truth is something beyond his wildest imagination: he’s the latest weapon to fight wars, a cyborg soldier rented to the highest bidder with his memories erased after each job.
How will Hayes handle the news when he starts to unravel the web of secrets surrounding him? Not too well, we’d imagine. On the run from S.H.I.E.L.D. and struggling with the knowledge of the Deathlok legacy, he’ll have to decide if he’s man or machine.
The first part of his journey comes our way from writer Nathan Edmondson and artist Mike Perkins as Deathlok #1 hits stores and digital on October 29. Get a first look at this new take on a classic character below, plus some sweet variant covers by Clayton Crain and Skottie Young. One thing’s for sure: this isn’t a Deathlok like any we’ve seen before.
