By Nick Tylwalk
It’s only natural that when New York Comic Con comes to town, the most prominent comics retailer in New York City is going to go all out with exclusives.

That’s exactly what Midtown Comics is doing next week, stacking Booth #2036 with the most exclusives it’s ever brought to the show: a total of eight comics with variant covers, four t-shirts and three New Era Batman hats.
Let’s start with the comics first. Here’s what to look for at the Midtown booth:
- Thor #1 variant by Paul Renaud
- Wytches #1 variant by Sean Gordon Murphy
- Sabrina #1 variant by J. Scott Campbell
- Avengers & X-Men: AXIS #1 variant by Mike Mayhew
- Doctor Who 12th Doctor #1 variant by Karen Hallion – an early release available exclusively at the booth
To top it all off, there will be connecting Death of Wolverine variants for issues #1-3 by J. Scott Campbell. On the t-shirt front, Midtown is offering its “I <3 Midtown Comics” tees as well as an “I’m a Midtown Zombie” tee that can be had for free by participating in the Zombie Crawl at the booth.
And there’s more, like Superman Red Son POP! Vinyl figures and apparel that are exclusive to the retailer and a new wax figure of a major Marvel super hero (hint: he or she appeared in The Avengers movie) that will be unveiled by Madame Tussauds New York at the Midtown booth on Thursday, October 9 at 12:30 pm, and will be available for photo ops for the rest of the show.
How many reasons is that to visit Booth #2036? I lost count, but if you’re going to be at NYCC, you probably want to stop by.
