First Look: Paint The Town Red In AXIS: Carnage #1

By now, it’s pretty common knowledge that the Inversion coming during Avengers & X-Men: AXIS is going to flip the Marvel Universe around. Down will be up, good guys will succumb to their darker sides, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!

Ah, sorry about that. Anyway, the Inversion is so strong that it’s going to be able to affect even some characters who are normally pretty set in their ways. Like, say, turning Carnage into a hero.

It’s true. In AXIS: Carnage #1 (the first in a three-issue limited series), writer Rick Spears and artist German Peralta show everyone how the Inversion has changed the symbiote psychopath into a force for good. I know, I can’t believe I just typed that either. But as the Red Skull is washing the globe with a wave of evil, humanity needs heroes, and Carnage is apparently ready to heed the call.
