Guardians Of The Galaxy Gets Blu-ray, Digital HD Release Dates
By Nick Tylwalk
Director James Gunn has made several jokes about not wanting to say when Guardians of the Galaxy would be available for home viewing because he wanted people to go see it again in the theater. But now that its record-breaking run is winding down, Marvel has let fans know exactly when they’ll be able to watch it at home — and to no one’s surprise, it’ll be just in time for the holiday season.

Marvel announced today that Guardians of the Galaxy will be available on Digital HD (and Digital 3D) on November 18, followed by its Blu-ray, DVD and standard definition digital release on December 9. The physical discs will come in a 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack (3D Blu-ray + Single-disc Blu-ray + digital copy), as well as regular Blu-ray and plain old DVD formats.
Bonus features on most formats include “Making-of” featurettes, a gag reel, deleted scenes and an exclusive look at Avengers: Age of Ultron. My question is where is the four-disc Collectors Edition that comes with a Dancing Groot toy and is packaged in a scale model of Knowhere?
Ah well, we can always dream …
