Before it get locked away to prepare it for what inevitably will be an even more impressive sale down the road, that comic book is going to be on display at New York Comic Con. It’ll be at Booth #2630 at the Javits Center later this week, available for photos and interviews with the press.
We’re assuming the book itself isn’t going to talk and that the interviews will be with its buyers: Stephen Fishler and Vincent Zurzolo of www.ComicConnect.com and Metropolis, which bills itself as the “world’s largest vintage comic book dealer.” In other words, these guys know a thing or two about valuable comic books, so if they think it was worth paying $3.2 million for this one, it probably was.
You might not ever get to own an Action Comics #1 in pristine condition, but at least you’ll be able to say you stood next to one. And that’s something, I guess.
