New Civil War Teaser From Marvel Means … What, Exactly?
By Nick Tylwalk
Marvel apparently wasn’t ready to announce all of its 2015 comics plans during New York Comic Con.

It’s tough to know what to make of this one, though. This afternoon, Marvel sent out the following teaser with an accompanying email that simply read “CIVIL WAR #1 – Summer 2015.” As you can see below, the image is done in the style of the Steve McNiven covers for the original Civil War series, and the struggle between Captain America and Iron Man over Spider-Man is certainly something that happened during the original event.
But does this mean a new story with the same name a la the upcoming Secret Wars (that was kind of, sort of announced at NYCC), something in a different medium, or … what, exactly?
Your guess is as good as ours at this point. Maybe 2015 will see a do-over for a number of famous Marvel events or the publisher is just trying to keep us on our toes. Either way, it’s got us intrigued.
