It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for another Gotham episode review! Yesterday’s episode was titled ‘Arkham’ which makes sense as the plot focused around a struggle for control of the old Arkham Asylum and the surrounding land.

Thankfully this episode did not contain any glaring errors the way the last episode ‘The Balloonman’ had. I have to say live tweeting each episode of Gotham is the highlight of my week, it’s so much fun, especially with a lot of the cast live tweeting as they watch as well. A few secrets were revealed in this episode, for example Barbara finally admitted to Jim that she had been in a relationship with Renee Montoya for a year. However mostly we were given more questions than answers for every character on the show. Even the characters who think they know everything are in the dark about something.

All in all this episode was far more entertaining than the last as I wasn’t distracted by the ridiculous plot device that went against the laws of physics. The villain of the week, Gladwell is a contract killer and not very memorable other than his method of killing, a long metal spike through the eye.

So far I think the two members of the cast who are the most intriguing so far are Corey Michael Smith, and little David Mazouz. Mazouz is doing an excellent job as young Bruce Wayne, even the adults in the cast are impressed with his performances. I’m already convinced that this kid is going to grow up to be Batman! As for Corey Michael Smith I can’t get enough of his portrayal of Edward Nygma, I am really hoping to see far more of him as the show continues, after all right now he is so very far from a criminal master mind, and there’s going to have to be a lot more character development for Nygma to become the Riddler we all know and love.
