Rumor: Ryan Gosling Could Go Marvel Or DC With Doctor Strange Or Suicide Squad
By Nick Tylwalk
Add another name to add to the seemingly neverending stream of actors rumored to be in consideration for Marvel’s Doctor Strange — though this one is more interesting than most because he could also be in the running for one of Warner Bros. upcoming DC movies.

The Hollywood Reporter says sources are telling it that Ryan Gosling met with Marvel about Doctor Strange, but also could be talking with Warner about signing on for Suicide Squad. The buzz is that Gosling has so far resisted the pull of super hero movies because of a desire not to get roped into multi-picture deals, but it’s possible he could be changing his stance, particularly since it’s pretty unlikely that Marvel would want him for just one movie.
A Suicide Squad movie had been rumored for a while, but it was only this week that Warner revealed it wants to release it in 2016. That doesn’t give it much time to get actors lined up, though Gosling would certainly back up its claim that it would get “A-list talent” for the four main roles.
It’s not hard to imagine Gosling as Doctor Strange, but who would he play in Suicide Squad? Deadshot, perhaps? We’ll see if either studio can seal the deal with him.
