Top 3 Moments From The First Avengers: Age Of Ultron Teaser Trailer
By Nick Tylwalk
It’s never cool when people leak things to the internet before they were intended to be released, but this is one time that a leak ended up benefiting all of us. Marvel decided to own the leak of the first Avengers: Age of Ultron teaser trailer by owning it and releasing it officially in HD, and … Wow. It’s going to be along six months waiting for this movie to arrive next May.

First of all, it’s hard to call it a teaser. Those are usually shorter and show us a lot less. While the Age of Ultron teaser didn’t reveal too much of the plot, it did show us plenty: cities ruined, Avengers fighting each other, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in action, and more.
It’s tough to pick just three favorite moments out of 136 seconds of geeky awesomeness, but I’m going to give it a shot.
3. Hulkbuster Iron Man versus Hulk
You know Joss Whedon is going to provide some pure fanboy/fangirl moments, and this is one of them. No one else on the Avengers besides Thor can stand toe to toe with an enraged Green Goliath, but Hulkbuster Iron Man can certainly give it a go. Tony Stark definitely built it to take a punch, as we see here.
2. Captain America’s shield is broken
As symbolism goes, this is about as powerful as it gets. We don’t really know as much about the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Cap’s shield, but I think the public knows it shouldn’t be in pieces. Might Ultron end up turning himself into something strong enough to shatter it? It certainly looks that way.
1. Ultron’s take on “I’ve Got No Strings”
Seriously, you’ll never be able to watch Pinocchio the same way again. Ultron is speaking metaphorically, and he definitely doesn’t want to become a real boy, but man is this creepy. The scene where the Avengers are in street clothes looking on in horror as the robot staggers to its feet and crushes the head of another robot could be the true “birth” of Ultron, and it’s amazing. It only took a few lines to show why James Spader was an excellent choice.
Honorable mention: Tony Stark has some regrets about leading the Avengers down this road, Black Widow drops from a Quinjet on her motorcycle, Quicksilver rushes over to save Captain America and darn near everything else.
Avengers: Age of Ultron releases on May 1, but we’ll no doubt have more trailers to stoke the flames of fna hysteria before then.
