Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman Among Most Popular Halloween Costumes For 2014

A certain cold-themed Disney animated movie is crushing the competition when it comes to the most popular Halloween costumes for 2014, but a few comic book characters are solidly in the top 15.
A recent report by SLI Systems analyzed search data to determine what was hot for the holiday this year, and to no one’s surprise, Disney’s Frozen topped the list. Frozen has over 30 percent search activity than the next closest costume, which was the generic Zombie, meaning you won’t be able to swing your jack o’lantern bucket on Trick or Treat night without possibly hitting an Anna, Elsa or Olaf.
Still, comic book characters are representing with two of the next two costume themes based on licensed properties: the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are eighth, while the always popular Batman comes in at number 11. Batman also made the top 10 last year.
Just a hunch, but if Guardians of the Galaxy had released closer to Halloween, it would likely be in the top 15 as well, and certainly that movie will add some Star-Lords and Rocket Raccoons to what you see in your neighborhood this Halloween. Maybe they can even help clear some of the Elsas out of your way.
