Japanese Batman Has Competition in Australian
By Skip Harvey
A few months ago we told you about Japan’s Chibatman, who patrolled highways on his personalized Batpod. Now he’s got some stiff competition. Australian Zac Mihajlovic has built a street legal Batmobile from the ground up, and for a good cause. Though he’s been offered lucrative deals for the car on 6 different occasions, Mihajlovic denied them all to use the replica of the Tim Burton era car to aid the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
"One of his recent missions was to visit a young boy named Domenic who suffers from cystic fibrosis. According to his mother Nicole, Domenic must take 20 capsules a day, two lots of nebulized medication and a daily routine of physio. Like most young boys, dressing up as a superhero is something Domenic does regularly, telling people his name is “Bruce,” as in Bruce Wayne. So when his mother surprised him with a visit from Mihajlovic back in June, Domenic couldn’t contain his excitement, jumping in the air shouting “this is the best day of my life.”"
It’s hard to argue with his motivations here. He turned down absurd amounts of money to bring joy to terminally ill children. There’s nothing more Batman than that.
