The Suicide Squad Movie will Include the Joker
I find myself really excited by the latest bit of news from Uproxx concerning the Suicide Squad movie coming in 2016, which is that the Joker will be a part of the cast. This greatly excites me as it increases the chances that Harley Quinn will be in the movie as well. And we all know it is past time for a live action Harley Quinn! Here’s a bit of what the Gamma Squad article says:
More from Movies
- James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy casts more major DC characters
- New Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer pushes Arthur to his limits
- 7 actors who could replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DC Universe
- Masters of the Universe reboot’s new domain could be at Amazon’s Prime Video Streamer
- James Gunn gives interesting update of Superman and Supergirl movies at DC Studios
"I am surprisingly okay with The Joker coming back. But it’s who The Wrap says is negotiating for a key role “that could prove to be The Joker” that I’m uncertain of. Jared Leto. They say Jared Leto wants the role as an iconic DC Comics character, having been rebuffed by Marvel when he went after the Doctor Strange role. I’m not sure if Leto has the coiled menace for it, though. On the other hand, he just won an Oscar and hasn’t signed for a movie since. Maybe he’ll be a huge surprise, if given the role. The Joker does like surprises. And if the Delevinge rumor is correct, he’s already got a girlfriend waiting"
Read the full article, on Gamma Squad, here. Of course for now the Jared Leto rumor is just that, a rumor with no conformation either way. It’s too early to celebrate or complain about the Joker casting. I know nothing what-so-ever about Jared Leto and I confess I had never even heard of him prior to reading this article on Gamma Squad.
