Rocksteady Aiming For Parity In Arkham Knight

If you aren’t too up on the current competition going on between the PS4 & Xbox One, most games that have come out for both systems have run slightly better on PS4 with higher resolutions and occasionally a better frame rate as well. Ubisoft recently came under fire for aiming for parity on the two systems with Assassin’s Creed Unity. Now, Rcoksteady studios, developer of Arkham Knight has also come out and said that they are aiming for graphical parity on the Xbox One & PS4 when it comes to the Dark Knight’s latest adventure.

"We don’t know yet. We’re about six months away from going gold. So we don’t know what the resolution and the frame rate’s going to be yet. That’s something that happens during the optimization phase of the game. We’re aiming for parity across all platforms. Whatever it is, it’s going to be awesome"

Personally I think the whole debate about resolution and frame rate is a little silly. I mean did we care about resolution of frames per second before this past year as long as the game looked good? Also people seem to think aiming for parity is aiming for the lower bar when it should be considered reaching for an equally high bar on both systems. I’m sure no matter what platform you get it for, Arkham Knight will look pretty impressive when it hits in June next year.
