Extended Avengers: Age Of Ultron Trailer Gives Ultron’s Motivation
By Nick Tylwalk
Ultron isn’t going to have the exact same origin in Avengers: Age of Ultron that he does in the comics, but his motivation appears to have made the transition from print to film intact.

That much is clear in the extended Age of Ultron trailer that just started making the rounds today (and you can see below). While most of the footage is the same as the first teaser trailer except for some added bits in the action scenes, the good stuff is right up front.
In the always commanding voice of James Spader, Ultron tells the Avengers that he knows they mean well, but that they want to protect the world without allowing it to change. The robot says there’s only one path to peace, and that’s “your extinction.”
His threat is to the Avengers, but if this is as faithful to the comics as it appears to be, Ultron really means the extinction of all humans. Yikes. Take a peek at the extended trailer and see what you think.
