Jai Courtney To Play Deathstroke In Suicide Squad?
Jai Courtney, who played John McClane’s son in the last Die Hard movie & will be in the upcoming Terminator franchise reboot, Terminator: Genisys, is also apparently in talks to play the lethal assassin Deathstroke in the upcoming Suicide Squad film.

Courtney as Deathstroke would join Tom Hardy, Will Smith Margot Robbie & Jared Leto, who are all in various stages of discussion for the Suicide Squad film at this point, but none are 100% confirmed. It was previously rumored that Smith was in discussions to play Deathstroke, but it now seems likely that Smith would take the role of Captian Boomerang according to the article. The only reason that seems odd is that Smith of course has by far the biggest box office draw of any of the cast and Captain Boomerang is frankly likely to be a secondary character when you have Joker & Deathstroke involved. I honestly haven’t seen anything Courtney has starred in so it’s hard for me to say if I think he’s a good pick for the role. It’ll be interesting to see how the casting finally turns out and to see how well everyone plays their roles when the Suicide Squad movie hits theaters in 2016.
