If there was any lingering doubt that Batman v Superman is channeling Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns, we can now squash it. Take a look at these new photos from the production:

Now take a look at the pages from the aforementioned comic series (often mistakenly referred to as a ‘graphic novel’):

See what I mean? The real issue I worry about is channeling Frank Miller’s take on Superman. If you look at Clark’s treatment in that book, it’s pretty out of character for him, more of a plot device than a real representation. Let’s pray they steer clear of that. This was supposed to be a Superman movie, after all.
