Adam West Is Shocked At Modern Superhero Paydays
Another day, another Adam West story. If this keeps going, maybe we’ll just do the weekly Adam West roundup (although odds are once Adam West stops promoting the release of his show on Blu-ray, this stuff will die down considerably). Adam West gave his thoughts to Bloomberg on actors getting multi-million dollar paydays to play superheroes.

"Yes, I was struck. I was struck in the heart. It just hurts. Um you know I think if they can get that kind of pay, they wouldn’t be getting it unless they brought in people to buy tickets. I think it’s all kind of….there’s a balance there."
Adam West isn’t jealous, just shocked at how much actors are paid for these roles, and it is pretty ridiculous. One good payday from a superhero film can set most people up for their life, their kids’ lives and probably their grandkids’ lives as well. Adam West noted that he was paid pretty well for The Batman movie he did, it wasn’t anywhere near what today’s actors get paid to be in comic book films.
