By Nick Tylwalk
Want to watch the year’s number one movie (so far) in the comfort of your own home? Sure you do, because that movie is Guardians of the Galaxy, and the three times you saw it in the theater weren’t enough.
More from Movies
- James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy casts more major DC characters
- New Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer pushes Arthur to his limits
- 7 actors who could replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DC Universe
- Masters of the Universe reboot’s new domain could be at Amazon’s Prime Video Streamer
- James Gunn gives interesting update of Superman and Supergirl movies at DC Studios
As of today, you can have the adventures of Star-Lord, Groot and the gang playing on your home screen of choice. Guardians releases on Digital HD today, and for reasons only the movie studios can fully explain, only in HD. If you want a standard definition stream for some reason, you have to wait until December 9 when the Blu-ray and DVD release happens.
Where to get your digital copy? The usual suspects, including Amazon and iTunes. Bonus features include deleted scenes, making-of featurettes, an “exclusive look” at Avengers: Age of Ultron and a gag reel. However, Marvel says the digital bonus features vary by retailer, so I can’t say for sure if you’ll have access to them or not.
You know what? It hardly even matters. I’m just excited my favorite movie of the year is out already. I’m planning on watching it again in just a few hours.
