DC Announces Black Friday Batman Sale, Cyber Monday Vertigo Sale
By Nick Tylwalk
You don’t necessarily think of digital comics when you talk about Black Friday sales, but DC is hoping there’s room for some Batman on your holiday shopping list.
The DC Black Friday sale actually runs from November 25 to December 1, and as originally revealed by IGN, it includes 750 different Batman comics on sale for 99 cents each. The full list of series included in the sale has a little something for everyone, such as arcs from the pre-New 52 and current volumes of Batman and Detective Comics, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: The Long Halloween, Gotham by Gaslight and much more.
For Cyber Monday, the focus will shift to Vertigo for a one-day sale that will be December 1 only. A total of 23 of what the company is calling essential graphic novels can be had for $4.99 each, and the range of material runs from classics like V for Vendetta and Saga of the Swamp Thing Book One to the first collected volumes of American Vampire, Sweet Tooth and The Unwritten. You’ll also find Hellblazer and iZombie digital trades in case you need to bone up on properties that are hitting TV.
Batman and pretty much every significant Vertigo series ever sounds like a Merry Christmas for someone you know. And if you can’t think of anyone who would enjoy them, we’ll volunteer to step in and receive them as gifts. We’re nice like that.
To take advantage of either sale, head to ReadDCEntertainment.com or your DC-stocking digital retailer of choice.
