Dustin Deutsch and Lonnie Blevins were supposed to investigate attorney Anthony Chiofalo, who stole millions from a crane company. Chiofalo used some of that money to buy rare and valuable collectibles such as the highly valued Batman comic. The FBI says Deutsch had access to a storage unit that held the Batman Comic along with tons of other vintage comics and collectibles such as a baseball hat signed by Pete Rose. The FBI said that Deutsch gave the items to Blevins, who then sold them in Chicago. I get the money was tempting, but they probably should’ve known better than to steal from the storage unit of a man who was under investigation for stealing millions of dollars. Oh well, no one ever said criminals were smart.
