We still don’t know which villains will feature in the film version of Suicide Squad or which actors and actresses will be playing them, but at least we now can talk about where the movie will be filmed.

The Hollywood Reporter says Suicide Squad will shoot in Toronto beginning with pre-production in February. Actual filming will take place in the Toronto area during the spring and summer of 2015.
Considering it’s already December, we should get some official announcements soon. The THR piece mentions highly rumored potential cast members like Jared Leto, Tom Hardy and Margot Robbie, but so far none of them but Robbie as Harley Quinn seem to be written in pen, much less chiseled in stone.
All we can be reasonably sure of at this point is that David Ayer is directing and that the movie will feature a group of villains coerced into doing dangerous missions for a secret branch of the U.S. government. Oh, and we also know it is scheduled for release on August 5, 2016.
