Arrow Season 3, Episode 8 Synopsis: The Brave and the Bold

Last night on the first part of The Flash/Arrow crossover, Oliver Queen was able to teach Barry Allen a thing or two about what he still lacks as a super hero while also helping him to defeat a new metahuman. You might also recall that Team Arrow went to Central City in the first place because of a case from Starling City, one that centered on a murder committed by a boomerang.

Since that case is still ongoing, it provides the perfect excuse for the two heroes to join forces again in the second part of the crossover, “The Brave and the Bold.” Arrow is going to need some help against Digger Harkness, and that means not only Flash, but his friends from S.T.A.R. Labs as well.

Here’s the official synopsis of tonight’s episode from The CW:

"Oliver (Stephen Amell), Arsenal (Colton Haynes) and Diggle (David Ramsey) track down the location of a boomerang-wielding killer named Digger Harkness (guest star Nick E. Tarabay) but are surprised when they come face to face with an A.R.G.U.S. team. Diggle asks Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) why A.R.G.U.S. is involved, but she defers until Harkness attacks the building, killing several agents and targeting Lyla. The Arrow joins the fight and gets help from an old friend — The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin).Harkness manages to get away and Oliver teams up with Barry again to find him before he can get to Lyla. When Harkness plants five bombs in the city that are timed to explode at the same time, both teams must come together to save the city. Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg, and teleplay by Marc Guggenheim & Grainne Godfree Schwartz (#308)."

One of our readers actually asked Stephen Amell (via our friends at the Arrow After Show) when A.R.G.U.S. would be showing up again in the present, and he didn’t lead us astray. If I was a betting man (and my trips to A.C. and Vegas suggest that I am!), I’d wager a fair amount that Digger ends up on the Suicide Squad by the end of this one.

Sounds like a fun end to this two-night event. Check it out at 8 pm on The CW, then come back here for our recap and watch the Arrow After Show on theStream.tv to get all the analysis and geeking out you can handle.
