Oprah Winfrey As Amanda Waller?
Warner Bros. has a pretty short list of who they want to play Amanda Waller in the Suicide Squad movie, and reportedly at the top is talk show mogul and Oscar nominee Oprah Winfrey.

It should be noted that all this is at the point is a report of a list. There is no news that Oprah Winfrey has been approached for the role of Amanda Waller or that Oprah Winfrey has any interest or even the time as she is pretty busy running her multimedia empire. A dark movie like Suicide Squad also might clash with Oprah Winfrey rather squeaky clean and family-friendly image. Assuming Warner Bros. wants Oprah Winfrey, but can’t get her, apparently also on the short list are Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis. Granted, Winfrey is a big name and certainly as some acting chops hence her acting nomination, but her overall track record is fairly spotty and she as not acted in quite awhile. Both Spencer and Davis might be a better fit for the role. There is also no mention of Kerry Washington, who was previously rumored to be in talks, so that may not be happening either.
