Batman Returns Almost Had A Batman Store
It’s not unusual for somebody to try and cash-in on someone else’s fame. And the Tim Burton Batman film, Batman returns, almost had a nod to that, as Batman Returns originally had a store filled with Batman merchandise.

The store featured tons of Batman merchandise. Everything from a Batman arcade machine to Batman hats and Batmobiles of various sizes. The original idea in Batman Returns was to actually have the store destroyed by a fire-breather. Here’s an excerpt from the original script describing the store:
"Where the Batman logo fills the frame with a portentous soundtrack boom. A playful salvo of snowballs reverberates against this image as the logo is revealed to be a hanging centerpiece in the window of a Batman merchandising store, along with Batman sleds, lunch boxes, T-shirts, and ticking clocks…"
For some reason, Tim Burton ditched the whole idea of having a Batman store and instead replaced it with an ordinary run-of-the-mill toy shop. Kind of a shame, as it could’ve been a cool yet humorous moment in the film. Also I think most of us would totally want to go to a store that had nothig but Batman merchandise, especially if some of it was unique and cool or rare.
