In regards to Bale’s Batman appearing in another movie universe, i.e. the upcoming Batman v. Superman, Bale simply replied “And ours doesn’t belong in any other version at all.”
Bale also talked about his initial reaction to Ben Affleck being the new Batman and his thoughts on Christopher Nolan stopping at 3 Batman movies:
"When I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour[The Dark Knight is a] character that could have kept on going and going and going. It was right for Chris [Nolan] to finish it where he did. It was appropriate to leave at the right time."
