Marc Singer Joining Arrow Cast Later This Season

Here’s a fun addition to the cast of Arrow. Comic Book Resources broke the news earlier today that Marc Singer would be poppping up in episode 14, playing a very real but not very well-known character from DC Comics.

More from TV

Singer will be playing General Matthew Shrieve, formerly a Lieutenant who was in charge of the Creature Commandos. That team originated in a secret government branch called Project M, and if I tell you that the unit Shrieve headed up included a werewolf, a vampire, a gorgon and a take on Frankenstein’s monster, you can probably guess where they got the ‘M.’

CBR says Shrieve will appear in the flashback portions of the episode, meaning Oliver Queen probably encounters him in Hong Kong. He’s also described as having a recurring role, so we’ll see him more than once. Could his Project M and Amanda Waller’s Task Force X be vying for resources in some way? That’s just a stab in the dark.

No stranger to genre work, Singer was in both the original and rebooted versions of V and also starred in the Beastmaster movies — as the Beastmaster. Keep your eyes peeled for him and see if he brings any monsters with him.
