Jeremy Irons: Alfred Is The Perfect Husband
Jeremy Irons has recently been giving his thoughts on his character of Alfred in the upcoming Batman V Superman film. He recently gave hints that Alfred might have a pretty interesting past and also how Alfred would be a perfect husband.

"Oh he’ll be quite different. He has an interesting history. He’s a very competent man. He’s the sort of man I think anyone would like to be married to. He can sort of do everything: change light bulbs, blow up bridges if he has to."
The interesting history of Alfred’s that Irons is referring to is that Alfred has often been a man with a military past, sometimes even a covert ops past. That could easily be incorporated into Batman V Superman, especially if Alfred is responsible for training a young Bruce Wayne, which at least scenes of Wayne being trained are hinting at with the recent news of a “young Ben Affleck” casting call. As far as the perfect husband, I think we all dream of someone who would blow up a bridge for us if they have to. And change light bulbs of course…
