This Is How Iron Man Will Look In Avengers: Age Of Ultron
By Nick Tylwalk
Iron Man gets a new look for every Marvel movie. Not only is Tony Stark always upgrading his armor, it’s just good real world business sense, because it allows more merchandise to be sold.
More from Movies
- James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy casts more major DC characters
- New Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer pushes Arthur to his limits
- 7 actors who could replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DC Universe
- Masters of the Universe reboot’s new domain could be at Amazon’s Prime Video Streamer
- James Gunn gives interesting update of Superman and Supergirl movies at DC Studios
Hot Toys is one of those merchandising licensees, and it’s released some pics of the Iron Man Mark XLIII (that’s 43, for those of you who don’t do Roman numerals) suit Tony will sport in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Snarky jokes aside, there’s actually an in-story reason for him to come up with another suit this time as well, since we saw him order all of his previous armors destroyed at the end of Iron Man 3.
We also know this won’t be the end of Tony’s tinkering, as we’ve already seen the Hulkbuster armor in action during the first teaser trailer. Anyway, the big thing that jumps out at you about the Mark XLIII as opposed to the previous model is that red is back in a big way, replacing gold on the chest, shoulders and shins. Gold becomes more of an accent color here, and there are still plenty of silver details as well. The shoulderguards look a little more rounded as well.
No word on when the Hot Toys 1:6 Scale Figure that these pictures represent will be available for pre-order, but the company always does an amazing job with them. We’ll see the armor for sure on May 1, when Avengers: Age of Ultron lays calaim to the hearts of fanboys and fangirls everywhere.
