Lois Lane Says No Love Triangle In Batman V. Superman

Lois Lane is Superman’s classic love, but in the current run of DC comics’ new 52 universe, Superman is romantically involved with Wonder Woman. Will this be incorporated into the new Batman v. Superman movie leading to a love triangle? Amy Adams, who plays Lois Lane in the movie, says no.

"They always think that if you put in another woman, automatically…’catfight!’. No, I think that’s a male fantasy thing. I don’t think that’s reality. I don’t know how it will turn out, if we’re going to be competition, but we are not in this [movie], I can safely say, and we’re not in real life. She’s just the coolest girl ever."

Amy Adams also talked about what Lois Lane’s role in Batman v Superman will be.

"Lois is still sort of like the key to the information, you know? She’s the girl going out and getting it and figuring it out and putting it together and all of that, so she’s very much involved, but I kind of leave the heavy lifting to the boys, you know? So to speak."

Granted this story leans way more towards the Superman part of Batman v. Superman, but if there is no rivalry between Wonder Woman and Lois Lane for Superman, that may open up a possible romantic angle that was hinted at but never really explored from the great Justice League animated series: Batman & Wonder Woman. Not that Wonder Woman needs to be romantically involved with anyone really, but it could still be a good angle if handled properly.
