This year, Gotham’s Renee Montoya, played by Victoria Cartagena, is up for for Favorite Lesbian/Bi character. Renee Montoya is of course not just a key figure in Gotham, but a major character in the DC universe in general. While the character Renee Montoya is nominated, neither Cartagena or the show Gotham is up for any awards. We here at Caped Crusades appreciate diversity in our comics and TV shows and are psyched that Renee Montoya is considered a positive lesbian character by such a prominent site. So if you are a fan of Renee Montoya, Victoria Cartagena or Gotham in general, go ahead and vote!
