Report: The Flash Renewed For Season 2
By Nick Tylwalk
A big part of our job is passing along news that isn’t surprising but is welcome nonetheless. This qualifies: according to Spoiler TV, The Flash has been renewed for a second season next fall.

The CW hasn’t confirmed that report yet, but it’s really just a matter of time. The Flash is literally the best thing the network has going at the moment, topping all of The CW’s shows in terms of total viewers (just under 4 million per episode) and in the coveted 18-49 demographic, where it is doing 50 percent better than the next closest show on The CW, Arrow.
In fact the DC super hero shows have done so well relative to everything else on the network that you have to wonder whether or not it is asking Warner Bros. and DC for more. None of the upcoming projects we’ve heard about, like Supergirl or Titans, are headed to The CW. But with Ray Palmer revealing his Atom suit (or maybe that should be ATOM, since it’s an acronym) during Arrow‘s midseason finale, there’s at least one built-in spinoff possibility that’s popped up already this fall.
Regardless, even though it was never really in doubt, this is good news for fans of the Fastest Man Alive, and encouraging for those of us who didn’t want the showrunners to burn through all of the Rogues during Season 1. Consider it an early Christmas present to know that we’ll be geeking out together over The Flash into 2016 … at least!
