Michael Keaton Talks Trying On The Batsuit
Well the 75th anniversary of Batman is coming to a close and with it the close of the 25th anniversary of Tim Burton’s seminal 1989 Batman film. I thought it’d be fitting to end the year on a story about the Tim Burton Batman and Michael Keaton. Batman shot Keaton into megastardom, but he almost quit the film immediately. Why? Seems the very tight-fitting batsuit is to blame.

Talking with Epix’s Hollywood Sessions (which also included Bendict Cumberbatch and Robert Downey Jr., that’s Batman, Iron Man and Dr. Strange on the same show!), Keaton discussed putting on the batsuit for the very first time:
It’s kind of amazing how Keaton describes the batsuit as practically immobile, but of course it doesn’t look like there are any problems moving around in the batsuit in the movie. Hollywood magic people!
