Vision Talks Genesis In His Uncanny Avengers Teaser
By Nick Tylwalk
By Genesis, I mean the biblical version. As expected, Vision is following his teammates from the new volume of Uncanny Avengers in getting his own teaser. As you can see below, he’s holding a glowing ball of … something, and he’s talking about Adam and Eve:
The questions, as with all of these teasers, is who exactly Vision might be addressing. My gut says maybe it’s Jocasta, who certainly could be thought of as the Eve to Vision’s Adam since they were both given life by the same creator, Ultron. Then again, there’s no guarantee Vision is referring to himself when he talks about Adam. Curious.
Since Vision is such a key cog in Avengers history, it’s nice to see him in one of the main titles again. He’s been relegated to the periphery of the team for quite some time, appearing in series like Avengers A.I. This feels like more of a return to form, one that only makes sense since he’ll be appearing in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Speaking of the influence of the movies, this look for Vision isn’t exactly like one we’ll see Paul Bettany sporting in May, but it’s closer to his MCU appearance than his classic Marvel Comics costume, which has a lot more yellow. Coincidence? I think not.
Miss the other Uncanny Avengers teasers? We’ve been musing about all of them as we wait for January 28 to arrive.
