Gotham returns tonight! As such, there has been a lot of cast and staff talking about the show’s return and how the second half of this first season of Gotham will go. Showrunner Bruno Heller recently talked with The Hollywood Reporter about the show, where it’s going, and teased some exciting stuff for the end of the season.

"You’re going to see Nygma take a giant step forward into becoming the man he becomes. You’re going to see Fish Mooney placed in a situation where it’s almost unimaginable how she’ll get out of it. Her relationship with Butch and Penguin are going to be pushed to the limit. Selina Kyle’s going to do something incredibly shocking — also, so’s Fish, come to that. One of the things about the second half of the season is that all the story we’ve set up so far comes to fruition. Some people come to an end, other people are triumphant. Gordon is … no, I can’t go there. I almost told you the story, and I can’t. But I guarantee that, if you liked the first half of the season, you’ll love the second half."
While promising the start of Nygma’s transformation & Mooney being in an impossible position aren’t that surprising, teasing Selina Kyle doing something shocking is definitely something that gets our attention. Probably due to Camren Bicondova’s great and charming performance as Selina Kyle, it’s easy to forget that Selina Kyle eventually has to become Cat Woman, who while not a straight up psychotic murderer, is a criminal who often has no problem killing those who have wronged her. Will whatever shocking thing Selina Kyle does officially start her down that path? We’ll have to see as Gotham starts the second half of it’s first season tonight on Fox!
