Big Change Coming For Batman Beyond???

For those who don’t know, Batman Beyond was a great, high concept series to follow up the Bruce Timm/Paul Dini era Batman/Justice League cartoons. In it, Bruce Wayne is retired and the mantle of Batman is passed on to young Terry McGinnis.

Beyond has also been brought into the comic world with it’s ongoing series. By doing so it was also tied into the company-wide Future’s End arc that flashes forward for nearly all major characters.

My former editor over at BleedingCool, Rich Johnson, recently posted a photo of brainstorming from the Futures End writer’s room that depicted something odd.

Tim/BMB pulls plug on Bro Eye. That seems to imply that Tim Drake is Batman Beyond in the future and that he puts a stop to the Brother Eye satellite created by Batman.

This also plays into the rumor that McGinnis was to meet his end at some point in the future.

Is Tim Drake really going to be the future Batman? Only time will tell.
