Marvel Releases 2 New Age Of Ultron Pics Of Avengers Staring At Things
By Nick Tylwalk
That might sound like I’m making fun of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and maybe I am just a little. But the folks at Marvel also brought it on themselves when they published these pics earlier today on Marvel.com.

- New Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer pushes Arthur to his limits
- 7 actors who could replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DC Universe

The image above is interesting, simply because Thor and Captain America are in uniform (though Cap, as we see him so often in the movies, isn’t wearing his mask), but Tony Stark is not armored up. They’re looking suitably grim. It’s a Marvel movie, so there are going to be some laughs, but I’m expecting more Empire Strikes Back than A New Hope in terms of overall tone.
You might have seen the other pic before, as it’s been floating around a bit since the first teaser trailer came out. Here are even more people looking worried:
That’s everyone from the main team, plus Maria Hill, James Rhodes (War Machine/Iron Patriot) and newcomer Dr. Cho (played by Claudia Kim), described as a friend of Tony’s. Here we already know what’s got them concerned, as the teaser showed us that they’re little get-together has just been interrupted by the arrival of Ultron, perhaps displaying his sentience for the first time. The question is whether there’s going to be a fight that ruins all of their nice civilian clothes.
I like to think not, and that Tony will simply try to hand-wave the Ultron problem until it becomes apparent it’s more serious than he thought. Just seems like something he’d do. Perhaps the new trailer due to hit on Monday, January 12 during the college football title game will shed some more light on this scene, eh?
